As demand for minerals critical to clean energy technologies continues to grow, countries in the Global South seek to identify practical pathways to develop mineral processing research, advance technology innovation, and expand processing capacity.
This webinar will convene policymakers, industry leaders, and scientists to explore how countries across the Global South can collaborate to strengthen critical mineral value chains. Panelists will discuss strategies for building and scaling regional processing and refining capacity, enabling countries to move beyond raw material exports toward higher-value manufacturing and deeper downstream integration.
Organized by the Council for Critical Mineral Development in the Global South; SEforAll; the Global South Center for Clean Transportation at the University of California; and the Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment and Sustainability at Duke University.
